Materials
At Favero Health Projects we select the materials used in the design and manufacture of our products with great care. We constantly strive to find innovative materials in order to satisfy the most advanced criteria for hygiene and resistance, guaranteeing durability and high performance. This dedication means that our products have led the market since the early 1990s when we started using Baydur rigid integral foam (a Bayer trademark) in the production of carts and technical shelving and storage systems. Baydur is a Class 1 fire-retardant material, is non-toxic, resistant to washing at temperatures up to 90°C (194°F) and with its completely rounded shape and absence of sharp edges is safe and easy to clean.

Levian is an innovative material with extraordinary technical characteristics recently patented by Favero Health Projects. It is extremely light, tough, resistant to water and fire as well as easy to clean and disinfect. Levian is used in our Praxis XX line of technical storage systems and with its excellent insulation properties is ideal for storing medicines and other healthcare products.

In recent years at Favero Health Projects we have worked very successfully with aluminium as it has such outstanding properties. It is fire and water resistant, non-magnetic, easy to disinfect and extremely durable. This makes aluminium ideal for use in all medical environments, particularly those requiring a high level of disinfection.

For almost 30 years at Favero Health Projects we have used DuPont™ Corian® in the manufacture of counter tops for our technical storage, kitchen and laboratory units. It is durable, non-toxic, resistant, attractive and available in a wide range of colours making it suitable for use in almost any kind of environment. DuPont™ Corian® is ideal in high-traffic areas subject to constant, heavy use as it is highly scratch, cut and impact resistant.

At Favero Health Projects we always keep in mind the needs of those who work in patient care and so we look for new materials which enable healthcare professionals to carry out their daily duties effectively and securely.
